What Are the Properties of Washed and Dried Fine Coal?
This industrial coal, typically sold in sizes of 0.5-10 mm, is mainly burned by factories for steam production in fluidized-bed boilers. With 14% ash and 20% moisture, it is one of our products preferred by businesses that need high efficiency.
At Akbulutlar Group Mining, we process the coal from our mining operations in special washing basins to remove impurities such as clay, soil, and rock, resulting in pure, enriched fine coal.
After washing, the moisture of our coal is reduced in drying plants, making it ready for shipment as a high-calorific fuel with a value of 3,700 - 4,000 kcal/kg.
How Does It Differ from Fine Coal?
Fine coal is shipped in its raw state, without washing or drying (3,000 - 3,200 kcal/kg, 25% moisture, 15% ash). In washed and dried fine coal, washing lowers the ash content, drying lowers the moisture, and the calorific value rises.
