Rice Coal
What is Rice Coal?
Rice coal is run-of-mine coal extracted from underground and brought to a particle size of 0.5-10 mm.
What Are the Properties of Rice Coal?
Rice coal is used 70% by factories for steam production, 20% by poultry farms, and 10% for residential heating. Industrial users generally burn it in stoker-fired boilers. Some factories use only washed rice coal because it gives them higher efficiency. The analysis table below shows the values of washed rice coal.
Rice Coal Grades
Depending on your boiler type or requirements, we offer two product grades:
- Washed rice coal: cleaned of impurities such as clay, soil, and rock in a washing plant and enriched; 4,300 - 4,500 kcal/kg, 8% ash, 28% moisture, 0.40% sulfur.
- Washed and dried rice coal: washed, then dried in a drying plant; 3,600 - 3,800 kcal/kg, 10% ash, 20% moisture, 32% volatile matter.
Rice Coal Prices
The price of rice coal depends on the grade you choose and on its calorific value, ash, and moisture content. If you give us your boiler type and estimated monthly consumption in the quote form, we will prepare the right grade and price for you. A batch-specific analysis report is sent before every shipment. We ship wholesale rice coal to factories anywhere in Turkey. For a higher-calorific option, see our Imported Rice Coal page.
