What is Pulverized Coal?
It is coal extracted from underground in its natural (whole) form and processed using screening machines to achieve a particle size of 0–10 mm.
What Are the Characteristics of Pulverized Coal?
This industrial coal, typically sold in the market in sizes ranging from 0 to 10 mm, is burned in fluidized-bed boilers by factories and industrial facilities primarily for steam production (85%), yielding a high level of industrial heat. With a sulfur content of 0.80% and an ash content of 13%, it is one of our most preferred products among factories.
At Akbulutlar Group Mining, we process this coal—sourced from our mining operations—in special washing ponds to remove impurities such as clay, soil, and rock, resulting in pure, enriched pulverized coal.
After the washing process, the moisture content of our coal is reduced in drying facilities, making it ready for shipment as a high-calorific fuel with a value of 3,200–3,500 kcal/kg.
